About the Campaign

The Safe to Sleep® campaign has helped educate millions of parents, caregivers, healthcare and childcare providers, and others about ways to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep-related infant deaths.

A mother is watching from her bed as a baby sleeps in a bassinet next to her.

The campaign is led by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), part of the National Institutes of Health, and benefits from a dedicated group of Collaborators.

In addition, multiple partners at the federal, state, and local levels assist with outreach and activities to spread the word about safe infant sleep.
